Eagle Enterprises Ltd.
For 23 years in Milwaukee and beyond, building owners representing a range of facilities have trusted Eagle Enterprises Ltd. for the highest standard in commercial and corporate cleaning and janitorial service. The 100 percent woman-owned business now serves 110 customer locations throughout southeastern Wisconsin including class-A office buildings, small businesses, law firms, banks, churches, schools, light manufacturing facilities and numerous others.
“The bulk of our business is owner-occupied space,” says Amy Gottheardt-Muench, second-generation president of Eagle Enterprises. “We work for some of the biggest names in the area, including Coca-Cola Bottling, Time Warner Cable and three out of four local T.V. stations. Many of these facilities are running 24/7, which means we have to work around the customer’s schedule.”
Working around clients’ hours, in a timely, efficient and professional manner is all in a day — or night’s — work for Eagle Enterprises. “We pride ourselves in being able to satisfy the customer who’s been through six cleaning companies and we’re the ones who find a way to make them happy,” says Amy. “For me that’s the ultimate goal and the feather in our cap.”
Eagle Enterprises has made a name in high-quality, professional cleaning service and building a boatload of repeat business. “We’re not the cheapest cleaner in town, but we’re the right choice for people who want a long-term relationship and high-quality service that’s consistent over time — this is where we fit best,” says Amy.
A cozy place to work
While the company has expanded considerably in recent years —more than 30 percent since Amy has taken over — she says Eagle Enterprises is a large company, with a small, family-friendly feel. “It all comes back to the fact that we’re a family-owned business,” she says. “We really focus on quality service, lasting relationships with customers and a good working environment for our employees. That might sound trite and difficult to measure, but it really pays off in the long term.”
Eagle Enterprises started with just 20 employees when Amy’s father, Rick Gottheardt, founded the business. Today, the company has more than 250 part-time employees. “We have far lower turnover of cleaning staff, which is one of the biggest problems our industry faces,” shares Amy. “We’ve been called a ‘cozy place to work’, that’s just the feel around here.”
Amy assumed ownership of Eagle Enterprises about four years ago, after her father’s sudden death. “My father was the president of another cleaning company and decided to branch off,” she recounts. “He started Eagle Enterprises in 1992 originally out of his garage and built the company up over time.”
When he passed unexpectedly, Amy had to make a quick decision. “I left my nursing career because I didn’t feel it was my passion and I decided to take over the family business because I thought it was an important and exciting opportunity.”
An eye for the details
Eagle Enterprises has grown considerably since Amy assumed ownership, continuing to build on a trusted name. With 24/7 on-call service, a dedicated janitorial services team, safe environmentally friendly cleaning products and a continuously unmatched customer satisfaction rate, Eagle Enterprises has become the top choice for commercial cleaning.
“Our powerful HEPA filter vacuums, microfiber dust cloths, treated mops and hospital-grade disinfectants ensure your facility not only looks good, but maintains an unmatched level of sanitation and cleanliness,” says Amy. “Not only are we providing a service that makes a building look good, but it also creates a healthier environment for employees.”
Eagle Enterprises uses green-certified chemicals and procedures for some of its customers’ programs. “Companies interested in attaining LEED for Existing Buildings certification will benefit from our green cleaning practices and products,” says Amy. “We strictly adhere to these housekeeping practices and offer documentation to assist our customers in achieving certification.”
Since inception, the company’s goal has always been to provide customers in Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin with commercial janitorial service that meets and exceeds expectations. “My father had over 30 years of experience in the janitorial industry and throughout his time in the industry, he noticed quality cleaning and dependable service were being sacrificed for continued growth and profit gain,” says Amy.
Although Amy says Eagle Enterprises does have its sights set on growth — both organic and by way of acquisition — she says the company isn’t willing to sacrifice quality for gains. “At the pace we’re moving now, I see double-digit growth, but the goal is to do it over four years so we can expand properly and maintain our level of service.”
For a noticeable difference and an eye on the details that truly matter in commercial cleaning, Eagle Enterprises Ltd. carries on a 23-year tradition of superior janitorial cleaning service in Milwaukee.
